STM has the functionality to maintain the deceased’s fund at time of death, process the estate fund until it is distributed to the beneficiaries and conduct the beneficiary distribution on a prorate of the parcels to the beneficiaries’ funds as the securities are transferred at the registers. Adjustments are automatically made for pre CGT parcels to market value at time of death, and for loss of indexation in the beneficiaries’ portfolios.
